Do you want to know more about the hotel? The Hotel Restaurant Pizzeria Sonne is a family owned hotel in the third generation. Franco and Lisa Bonetti manage the hotel with their daughter Maja, chef Remo Cavelti and 30 employees.

October 1, 1930 the grandparents, Stefano and Maria Bonetti-Miotti purchased the "SONNE" and from May 1, 1931 they ran it as a restaurant, boarding house and rent stable.

Between 1930 and 1960 the hotel was continually renovated and expanded. From June 1, 1960 the hotel was run by the grandparents and Franco Bonetti together. 1964 rooms were built into the attic: 14 rooms with running water, two bathrooms, one shower and one toilet. In those days deluxe!

Casa Franco was built 1970 and at that time a Boeing B 17G was exposed at the parking lot. Between 1960 and 1976 the dancing "La Baita" in Hotel Sonne, with its 3-man band, was well-known in the whole valley.

1970 both grandparents died, and Franco and Lisa Bonetti continued to manage the hotel. In 1979 the first wood-burning oven for pizzas in the Engadin was integrated in the restaurant and more rooms were built. In 1991 the Casa del Sole was built and in 1995 the main building was renovated.

Today the hotel has 250 seats in the restaurant and in the summer 50 seats on the terrace. The 80 rooms are all equipped with bathtub or shower, toilet, hair-drier, clock-radio, TV and balcony, the rooms in the main building and the Casa del Sole are additionally equipped with minibar and safety box. In the Casa del Sole we have a room (92m2) for conferences, meetings, exhibitions etc., for up to 60 persons and a garage. Big private parking-lot (free of charge).

The year 1998 the family bought the Villa Engiadina and she was totally renovated. In june 1999 for Astrid Damerow-Bonetti a dream came true. She manages the Villa Engiadina in Vulpera, "a dream castle", which after 40 years as a "Sleeping Beauty" opened its doors. The little castle offers 19 individually furnished single and double rooms, one junior suite, one suite, one family room and the tower apartment on the 3rd floor with a breathtaking round view. The restaurant welcomes from 11 am until 8 pm its guests for coffee, homemade cakes and small meals.
